Sadness, Loss, and Grief

Sadness, Loss, And Grief

I had already planned on writing a blog about loss and grief, however, what I didn't plan on was receiving some news about my friend this morning.  So you are not going through this situation alone.

I was shocked when I heard the news. Thoughts run through my head like "I should have called her more often, or went for more visits", almost as if that would have changed the situation.

These are all very normal emotions.  In fact, everything you feel are normal and are there to help you process through this tender period of loss.

There are 5 stages of grief, and no two people will go through them exactly the same.  There is no particular order, or time period for each stage.  They are waves of emotions to process through.  You're done when you're done, and nobody else can gauge that for you.  It's also normal to revisit one or more of these stages as you process through your feelings.

The 5 stages are:

Denial: A coping mechanism that helps pace the shock ...

Wonderment!

Wonderment is a feeling of surprise, awe, and joy.  It's a feeling of curiosity and amazement.

As a child, we were born with an innate inner desire to learn, to discover, and to awaken to our organic environment.

The scope of wonder, that occurs at a metaphysical level, is even greater than that of curiosity.  It causes us to seek, experience, and discover a fuller version of our self and our true abilities.  Society limits our growth with its set of rules and opinions.  But are we not the gatekeepers to what we allow into our life, our thoughts and beliefs??

What if we were to tune the world out, and just wonder again...just like a child?  What if we picked up from the place society started telling us "no"?  What would we discover about our self?  What different paths and choices would we make?

We are moving into a new era.  One that is very receptive to curiosity, seeking, and experiencing things for ourselves.  So that we can draw our own understanding, and not the conclusions s...

Taking Back Your Authority

What does the word AUTHORITY mean?

"The power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience."

If we are talking about "Your Life", who has the right to make decisions for you?

If we were talking about someone else's life, who has the right to make decisions for them?

This the simplest and most clarifying way to define that we each have the Authority for our own life.  Don't allow others to take the authority away from you.  By the same token, make sure you don't take the authority away from anyone else for their lives.

You can always ask for peoples opinions, but understand, YOU get to make the final decision.

Break free from the bondage of other peoples beliefs and expectations on YOUR LIFE.

We are here to experience and create through our life.  So don't cheat the world.

 Be Authentically YOU!

Change

How you look at things will either support you, or hold you back.

If you never went through any change, you wouldn't have grown.  I agree sometimes change can be scary...sometimes it's not.  Could that be because of what you're thinking or how you believe the change will affect you, that made the difference?

I always recommend the 20% - 80% rule.  Look at the situation for 20% of the time, to see the problems you perceive might happen with this change.  Then suspend those thoughts, and with a fresh mind, spend the remaining 80% of the time looking at the possibilities, options, and opportunities that this change can bring to your life.

This is how we Grow in life.  This is how we Create in life; and we are infinite creators.  If we can dream it, we can create it!

Afterwards, you can look back and realize the benefits from that change, and how it enhanced your life.

Have We Been Fooled?

The first day of the year always started after the Spring Equinox.  This is logical as we see the beginning of life in nature, with the plants and animals, as they emerge from hibernation.

The first day of the new year was April 1st, until the changed us from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar in 1582.  Does it even make sense that the first of the year is in the dead of Winter?

Why would they change our days so drastically?  Have we been fooled?  Too many things in our world do not make sense.  I'm not saying I have the answers, but I am saying the people we have trusted in the past, have proven themselves to be Not worthy of our trust.

I believe we each need to go through our own discernment on what is true and what is false.  Who to trust, and who to no longer believe.

Today is April 13th 2025.  We are entering into a timeline were Palm Sunday and Easter is celebrated on the exact date for both Christians and Orthodox Christians.  This happens once ever four years. ...

Harvest Preparing

The best meals are always prepared with attention to details, and the greatest ingredient is love.

This is also true with our cultures, traditions, and most of all, our children.  Children grow up too fast, and often with influence of technology or the guidance from others than might not share our values.

Our children are the biggest treasure we will ever have.  It's worth spending the necessary time with them to infuse the family's values, love, and traditions in to them....allow them to simmer, in order for the sweet essence of their gifts to blossom.

This is a Harvest that will pay off year after year!
